Fun biographies your children will love

September 28, 2017 in Raising Readers
When Hillary Rodham Clinton Played Ice Hockey by Rachel Ruiz.

I was provided a copy of this book to facilitate this review, however, all opinions are my own.

When Hillary Rodham Clinton Played Ice Hockey  is a beautifully illustrated picture book by Rachel Ruiz. We all know of Hillary as the inspiring and influential woman that has helped shape politics today. Ruiz’s story sets the leader into a different landscape, one, that not too many people would imagine her in.

From her childhood in Girl Scouts to her time in law school, you’ll be sure to learn something new along the way from this amazing and inspirational story.

Leaders Doing Headstands is a superb new picture book biography series focusing on famous figures in their youth. They are presented in a large-form picture book format that will be appealing to younger learners.

This book is a must-read for anyone who senses their daughters may be interested in politics.
