A Picture Isn’t Always Worth A Thousand Words

December 10, 2018 in Motherhood

This post is sponsored by Baby Dove, all opinions are my own.

Even though I share openly about my life on social media, I am guilty of always sharing the good and not the bad.

As a mom of now five kids, whose home is currently in a state of disarray, who hasn’t cooked a meal in two weeks since bringing baby home, and who has cried herself to sleep more nights than she can count, I know what it’s like to look at the picture perfect Instagram photos, and say to herself “ugh, *insert random name’s* life is so perfect, why can’t I be like that?!”

Since bringing home Aaryn two weeks ago, things have been so hectic and chaotic to the point that I can’t see straight. My husband had to return to work, which meant I only had 4 days of downtime before it was back school drop-offs and pick-ups, ballet and golf lessons (not to mention parent-teacher conferences as well). It’s been rough, and by 7pm, I am done. Both physically and mentally.

As much as I’ve been kicking myself for not being like those picture-perfect moms who seem to bounce back after baby, I know that not everyone’s reality is going to be the same. There is no shame in me doing what I can, until I am 100%.

Even though I don’t portray my day to day reality on social media, my reality is no different than that of millions of moms across the country. We spend our days constantly running and doing so much for everyone else, that we are often forgotten about. By the time we are able to catch a break, it’s often late at night.

My older kids are awesome helpers – very eager to be mommy’s helpers since baby has come home. But it’s a bit overwhelming dealing with all of the helpfulness that they are throwing my way! While I am navigating my new role as a mom of five, there are products that I know that I can count on as tried and true (which gives me one less thing to think about!) Baby Dove Rich Moisture line of products contains 100% skin-natural nutrients in its cleansers and lotions, which makes it ultra-gentle for my baby’s delicate skin.

Baby Dove has amazing products that help make our bath time go smoothly, and keeps my baby’s skin looking amazing as well.

Baby Dove Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash

This tear-free formula helps your baby to retain their natural skin moisture. Made with 100% skin-natural nutrients, the Baby Dove Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash helps to replenish skin lipids to keep your baby’s delicate skin nourished.

Baby Dove Rich Moisture Baby Bar

The Baby Dove Rich Moisture Baby Bar is milder and moisturizes more than other baby soap bars. Developed specifically for baby’s delicate skin, it is ophthalmologist, dermatologist and pediatrician tested.

Baby Dove Rich Moisture Baby Lotion

This lotion has a gentle formula that keeps baby’s skin moisturized all day long. From the very first use, baby’s skin is soothed from dryness; leaving it feeling soft and delicately scented.
