Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beaty

August 26, 2017 in Raising Readers

Ada Twist, Scientist Book Review

Ada Twist, Scientist, is the story of a curious little girl named Ada. I love this story, mainly because it features children of color participating in STEM activities.

Featuring a strong female character and embracing the role of women in science, this story shows that Ada is not afraid to ask questions, take risk or experiment to satiate her curiosity. The book also features loving, supportive parents, with realistic reactions and expectations (unlike Calliou).

This wonderful read will entertain children of all ages and adults alike. With such a lovable character as Ada, how can you not want to read this book over and over again?
