Apple TV+ Shows That Are Binge-Worthy

November 9, 2019 in Entertainment

We are just a few days away from the HUGE release of Disney+ and since we have all had two weeks to gather ourselves together and get to know Apple TV+ a little better, I decided to do a roundup of the best that the new Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ Current Launch Lineup

  • The Morning Show (Jennifer Aniston) — Episodes 1 through 3
  • See (starring Jason Momoa) — Episodes 1 through 3
  • For All Mankind — Episodes 1 through 3
  • Dickinson — Episodes 1 through 10
  • Ghostwriter — Episodes 1 through 7
  • Helpsters — Episodes 1 through 6
  • Snoopy in Space shorts — Episodes 1 through 12
  • Oprah’s Book Club — Episode 1
  • The Elephant Queen Documentary

Dickinson

Starring: Hailee Steinfeld, Jane Krakowski, Matt Lauria

The story of Emily Dickison is widely known. Since the thousands of poems found after her death, Dickinson has been regarded as one of the greats poets of all time. Dickson stars Steinfeld as Dickinson herself, the rebel.

See

In a world that has been completely changed by a virus that has left the remaining humans blind, the birth of a set of twins with sight sets off a whirlwind of events in which Jason Mamoa must be both protectors of his family and leader of his tribe.

This was the first show that I watched, and while the show is absolutely amazing, I am highly disappointed that it was ONLY 3 episodes. Give me more Mamoa.

The Morning Show

Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell

Apple TV has dived into the #MeToo conversation headfirst with The Morning show. There is no real need to name names, but this show definitely touched on one major morning show scandal in a way that will surely make it one of AT+ major must-watch television shows.

Apple TV+ Kids

I’m thrilled that there are a few shows on the platform available for the kids to watch. As much as our family loves Disney and are excited for Disney Plus, this is certainly a breath of fresh air. I’m also excited that I get to share one of my PBS childhood favorites with them!

GhostWriter

The original Sesame Workshop’s beloved series that originally ran from 1992 to 1995. In this updated version, a ghost haunts a neighborhood bookstore, releasing fictional characters into the real world, and four kids team up to solve the exciting mystery surrounding that ghost’s unfinished business. Each episode will feature both classics and new works commissioned by authors including DJ MacHale (Are You Afraid of the Dark) and Kwame Alexander.

Helpsters

Another shows from the creators of “Sesame Street,” “Helpsters” is a new live-action pre-school series featuring vibrant monsters who love to solve problems from planning a party to climbing a mountain or learning a magic trick.

Snoopy in Space

Snoopy in Space was created via an exclusive partnership between Apple and Wildbrain (Peanuts Worldwide). It is a series of 12 animated shorts that feature Charlie Brown, the titular Snoopy and other beloved Peanuts characters. As Snoopy embarks on his next big adventure (becoming a NASA astronaut) he takes command of the International Space Station and explores the moon and beyond.
