Bringing Baby Home with Maxi-Cosi

August 28, 2018 in Keeping Your Family Safe

Thank you, Maxi-Cosi for sponsoring this post. Keep your little adventurers comfy, safe & stylish with the Maxi-Cosi Magellan 5-in-1 car seat!

As we get things ready to bring home Baby Cinco in a few months, one of the most important things that we knew we needed to focus on was having a safe car seat.

With four other kids and two already in car seats, the trick was finding something that we could easily install, as well as something that would fit comfortably in our Tahoe and Enclave.

When it comes to car seats, I fully admit that I am no expert. We knew that we wanted to invest in a convertible car seat this time around, rather than switching half-way through baby’s first year, and then once again in the toddler and preschool years.

We also knew that we needed something that would fit a small baby starting out. The four older kids were around 5lbs. at birth, and we had difficulty finding a car seat to fit them from the start.

Imagine thinking you have a car seat, and get to the hospital only to find out you can’t use it. It’s a bummer to say the least.

This meant that I had to brush up on the different types of convertible car seats on the market. Which is not nearly as easy as it sounds.

The Maxi-Cosi Magellan 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is an innovative new 5-in-1 convertible car seat that accommodates children from birth to age 10 (5lbs. to 120lbs.). What I love about the car seat is that this is the only one we will need to invest in for Baby Cinco over the next ten years.

This car seat easily transitions from Baby Rear-Facing, Toddler Rear-Facing, Toddler Forward-Facing, Child Forward-Facing and Belt-Positioning Booster.  This works out perfect for us because that means our 3 & 5-year-olds are also able to use this seat when necessary. Sarah is able to still ride comfortably in the toddler rear-facing position, which is a big deal for our family!

There is an adjustable feature on the seat that allows you to transition the car seat to the next stage. So, from coming home from the hospital to the first day of kindergarten, our Maxi-Cosi Magellan 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat will have us covered!

As far as safety, the Magellan 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is the only convertible car seat equipped with Maxi-Cosi’s patented Adjustable Side Impact Protection. This creates a customized fit for all growth stages. It also ensures maximum protection as well as a custom fit when in the proper position.

If you are in the market for a new car seat, I highly recommend the Maxi-Cosi Magellan 5-in-1 Convertible Car Seat which retails at $349.99. You can pick up one at any of the following retailers: Amazon, Target.com, Buy Buy Baby, Nordstrom.com, and Albee Baby.
