If there is one thing my 5 kids know how to do, it’s eating. And if there is one thing that they will refuse to do, it is using their school stomachs!
Spending time with my kids on a regular basis has always been a priority of mine. Every week I try to make time with them so that they feel special, and that we do activities that are not only seen as playtime with dad (you know doing the stuff mom wouldn’t normally think of letting them do), but that also encourages the use of their imagination and father-child bonding.
We are only two weeks into summer vacation and I have already cooked more than I did the entire month of May! That’s not an exaggeration. One thing I told myself that I would try to do differently this summer, is make sure the kids are more involved in the cooking process. Also, I want to prepare more meals from scratch with them, since those are more filling!
I always start the morning with daily meal prep. I took cues from my wife and meal-planned each week, so I will know what needs to be done.
One of the kid’s favorite lunch meals is homemade pizza. I am happy to be partnering with Jus-Rol, to try out their fresh dough for a special lunch treat. The prep is easy since it comes rolled on baking paper, which also makes cleanup a breeze! The Jus-Rol Family Size Pizza Crust is perfect for kids since it’s not too thick or too thin. Not only can you use it for baking pizza, but for calzones and breadsticks as well!
Made in the USA I love that Jus-Rol’s Family Size Pizza Crust, Thin Crust, Flatbread Dough, and Puff Pastry Dough are all Non-GMO, with no artificial flavors or colors, high fructose corn syrup, or bleached flour. The best part is it’s available in the refrigerated dairy case!
The smiles on their faces when I bring them lunch are priceless! I love the quality time I get to share with them by making lunch, and what’s even better is I love that Jus-Rol products are a great way to bring the family together.
