Now that we are expecting our fifth child, I’d like to think that as a parent I have it all together. I’m no longer the newbie mom who is looking to others for advice, instead, I am the one who friends text late at night when they have no clue what’s going on with their babies or if they want to know what products they should purchase for their newborns.
No matter how much I may *think* I know, I do understand that each baby will be different. With my previous four children, I never had any experience buying formula, as I always opted to breastfeed.
However, this time, due to circumstances beyond our control, we will be formula feeding our new baby once he arrives. In researching formula, I knew I wanted a formula that has DHA much like breastmilk does.
The Decision to Bottle-feed
This is not a decision that we made lightheartedly. However, when it was determined that I ultimately had no other choice, I knew the next logical step was to make sure that I did my research on the types of formula that are readily available.\
We have decided that Enfamil NeuroPro™ is our number one choice once the baby arrives. NeuroPro is the first formula that has an exclusive MFGM and DHA blend for brain-building benefits similar to those of breast milk*.
For over 25 years Enfamil® has been a trusted formula choice for hospitals. Backed by decades of research on breast milk, plus multiple clinical studies on its brain-building power, Enfamil® is dedicated to understanding the nutritional benefits of breast milk, and NeuroPro is born of that dedicated focus.
What is MFGM?
MFGM has been clinically shown to help close the gap in cognitive development between formula-fed and breastfed infants.** Enfamil NeuroPro is the first and only formula to add MFGM as an ingredient in amounts supported by clinical research.
As a parent, knowing that there is a formula that has MFGM to help close the gap in cognitive development makes this a reassuring choice for me. Everything begins with nourishing the brain in the early months and years of a child’s life, including memory, concentration, attention, and perception.
