Our small living room has been a source of frustration to me ever since we moved into our home. With seven of us in a 1700 sq ft 4 bedroom home, there doesn’t leave much room for dedicated spaces outside of the bedrooms.
This means when it came time to have a playroom, office and family room I had to get creative. It’s been two years and felt as if no matter how I arranged the room, things just didn’t seem to flow right. I didn’t want the family room to be overrun with toys or my blogging stuff, but it just kept happening.
With the New Year approaching I had no other choice but to finally get something done. This time around I decided to be more intentional with how I was going to break up the room.
Fandoms UNITE!
The first thing I knew I wanted was to decorate the walls. I had been on a farmhouse decor kick for quite some time, but I’m kind of over it! It didn’t represent my family at all and the decor wasn’t about all of us.
I’m excited that I was able to partner with Displate to decorate the room with these cool metal posters!
Displates are magnet-mounted metal prints that add flair to any room in your home! There are thousands of different ones to choose from, so you are able to decorate a room to reflect any kind of style you have!
Because we love movies, we wanted a few Displates that would represent our love for various genres of film: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast, Lord of the Rings and Black Panther.
The process for ordering was easy. We sat down as a family and decided on what themes we wanted represented. It was kind of a no-brainer as we all love the same kinds of movies!
For us, Displates were a better option compared to traditional paper posters that would require not only framing but also how involved it would be trying to hang them.
Once my husband placed the magnets we were able to play around with the arrangement. The magnets make this process much easier!
The coolest part about Displate is that for every Displate purchased, they plant ten trees. Not only are you getting cool metal posters that represent you and your family, but you’re also supporting a company that cares for the environment! It’s a win-win!
