Finding My Own Sense of Style During Pregnancy

June 4, 2018 in Fashion, Pregnancy

Thank you to Macy’s for sponsoring this post, however, all opinions are my own.

I have the pleasure of once again (for the third time in a row) being pregnant during the summer…in the south. (Insert enthusiastic *yay*).

While there is so much to love about creating and bringing life into this world, there is one part of it that we never really get a chance to talk about.

The clothes.

During my very first pregnancy fourteen years ago, I struggled so much to find clothes that looked good and still allowed me to the stylish 20 something that I was at the time. Over the next three pregnancies, it seems the older I got, I still couldn’t find anything that defined who I was.

Now that I am in my mid-thirties, the struggle has definitely been real. I don’t have the twenty-something shape, that I once had, and with this being my fifth pregnancy, needless to say besides looking good, I just really want to be comfortable.

And because I have the pleasure of being pregnant in the south this summer, dresses will always be my go-to.

Motherhood Maternity offers a wide variety of comfortable dresses (as well as tops, jeans, shorts) that are a great way to help us pregnant ladies get through the summer. One of my favorite pieces has been this gorgeous navy and coral printed wrap dress which has been a go-to favorite of mine during the 90 degrees (soon to be 100 degrees) weather.

It’s also perfect because I wear it anywhere or for any occasion. Sunday brunch with my family, or if I am taking Sarah & Isla to the park for a playdate. Having younger kids it’s important for me to make sure none of my clothes are too tight or constricting in any way. If you have a toddler at some point you know what it’s like to have chase after them. There is no way that I could that in form-fitting clothes.

Likewise, I have two older kids, who are quite fashionable themselves. This means I can’t step out the house looking any kind of way. Especially when I am picking them up from school (or when I dropped my thirteen years old off at her school dance).

Motherhood Maternity is a brand that allows me to look and feel as fun and playful (and as stylish) as the clothing is. I love that I  can update my entire wardrobe to beautiful high-quality clothing, without breaking the bank.

What’s your maternity style? Let me know in the comments or follow me social @NatashaVBrown and let’s chat!
