At my age, you would think I would appreciate sitting at home on the weekends not doing anything. Nope! I prefer to go out and explore the city with my children. One of my favorite weekend activities is driving out. I usually grab my camera to snap a few candids along the way.
I like to consider myself lucky that my children don’t mind being in front of the camera and that they don’t mind walking! As much as I complain about never having enough to do, I can always count on these two to keep me busy and entertained.
1. Walk around downtown
2. Go to a Saturday baseball game
3. Picnic in the park
4. Go out for ice cream, yogurt or cupcakes
These are just a few of our favorite activities. I’m all for doing things that are free, so I do my best to stick with activities that don’t require an entrance fee. On the rare occasions where I do spend money, I like to make sure it’s for something we can all agree on. Having two children with varying interest, it’s difficult to get everyone to like the same types of things.
Water, melanin, bones, blood. In route to death, while I’m here, might as well get shit accomplished.
