Hey, Welcome To Grits & Grace!

Created to inspire moms and the creatively frustrated in love with light, fun, and simplicity.

Being a mom is hard. Sometimes you don’t have anyone who truly understands everything you go through and feel.  Grits & Grace is a way to help us inspire moms around the world to be and do the best that they can, and forget the noise around them. It’s about helping them find inspiration in the smallest things. Through blogging, I’ve been able to find a whole new set of inspiration on a daily basis.

Grits (n): firmness of character; indomitable spirit; pluck

Grace (n): elegance or beauty of form, manner, motion, or action

Grits and Grace began as an idea many years ago. Without the ability to determine what direction I wanted to take my dream, I put it away and dealt with this thing called life. After a spontaneous one thousand mile move last fall with my family, I decided that once again I would pick up G&G and make it great.

The spirit behind Grits and Grace is the reader. The world. And the beauty that lies within. This is a community for moms, not just in the south, but from around the world. We want this to be a safe space for mothers of various backgrounds, who can be open and honest about parenting, without fear of judgment. Our journeys may look different or even take different paths, but our goal is will always be the same: to raise healthy, happy children and hope they turn into healthy, happy, productive adults.

Our Brand Values

We want you to know what is important to us at all times. We are more than mothers and wives. We are women who want to make the world a better place. We believe that Black Lives will ALWAYS matter. We celebrate the joy and magic that all black girls are full of, and we proudly stan for the culture.
