There isn’t much time left before we welcome our new little bundle of joy. As we prep and purchase the last few items on our list, we have reverted back to using many of tried and true products as we did with our previous kids.
Why fix what isn’t broken, right?
Since we are expecting our fifth baby, it’s also important to us to make sure that we are shopping for our items in stores that we not only trust but are convenient. For our family, shopping for must-have items for our newborn means heading to our local Walgreens.
Walgreens staff is always exceptional and friendly, no matter what time of day (or night) it is! No matter what we may need we know that we can always find it in our local store. Even though we are veteran parents, that doesn’t mean that we are always on top of everything. As hard as it is to imagine, we forget things and frequently find ourselves rushing out late at night or after work to pick up products that we may need.
Since we will be bringing home a newborn baby in a few short weeks, it’s important for us to make sure we have all of the products we need.
When it comes to picking out everyday care products for our baby, JOHNSON’S® is always our number one choice. Not only is it the #1 choice of hospitals, it’s also specially designed to provide superior care to newborns.
We love JOHNSON’S® because it’s 100% gentle, free of parabens, and phthalates. We get to remain worry free because it contains no dyes or sulfates either. With 50% fewer ingredients we still get the same JOHNSON’S® Baby products we love, with 90% of it derived from natural ingredients.
Enjoy the last few weeks and get some much-needed sleep
One of the hardest parts nearing the end of pregnancy is getting enough sleep. All of the excitement of meeting your new bundle of joy can keep you up at night, along with the regular aches and pains of pregnancy. If you need help catching a few extra Zzzz’s check out my tips for getting some much-needed rest these last few weeks!
My body pillow has been a lifesaver this pregnancy. I love how I can fold it if needed to support my back at night or use it as a leg support.
Button up nightgown
I ditched the sweatpants and shorts pretty early in pregnancy. A button up nightgown or sleepshirt like is great to ensure that I am not adding any extra pressure (because there is more than enough). As my belly expands I don’t have worry about adjusting.
I love my sleep mask. There is a street light that shines directly into my window at night and it can be very distracting. Even if I happen to wake up, the room is still completely dark due to the mask, and sometimes it helps me easily drift back off to sleep.
No water before bed
One of the worst parts of pregnancy is the constant late night trips to the bathroom. I try to limit my trips by not having anything to drink more than an hour or so before bedtime. Sometimes longer. I also make sure I stay properly hydrated throughout the day, this way I will need less heading into bedtime.
Purchase a fan
A fan comes in handy for numerous reasons. For one, it’s great as a white noise machine, and secondly, it gets really, really hot at night. A small fan is great to keep next to the bed at night.
