Why I Made the Big Switch to Tom’s of Maine Natural Deodorant

December 3, 2017 in Lifestyle

Thank you, Tom’s of Maine for sponsoring this post.

It’s gotten to a point that I can no longer deny that I am getting older. It definitely has its perks such as being able to see how amazing children are growing from year to year, and finally being able to eat dinner at 4 pm and not face judgment. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also decided to switch up my personal products, including changing my deodorant to Tom’s of Maine.

However, there are a few cons that I know for a fact I could deal without. Like having the Backstreet Boys music being considered “old school” by my kid’s music teacher (really?), and the terrible changes that my body is once again going through. The latter of which no one prepared me for, post-puberty.

The latest changes that my body are going through, is also the main reason as to why I switched my regular deodorant to Tom’s of Maine natural deodorant.

Since becoming more conscious of what goes on the body and our skin, I have switched to Tom’s of Maine because they believe in using the power of nature and its odor-fighting deodorants feature hops and natural fragrances, along with a blend of vegetable oils, organic aloe leaf juice, and other plant-based ingredients.

This means that I get the 24-hour odor protection I need and trust.

Also, natural ingredients in deodorants have decreased the number of skin issues that I have been facing over the last few years. No more blocked pores meaning less odor even when I am not wearing deodorant.

Some ingredients used in natural deodorants (like witch hazel) can also shrink pores and smooth razor burn.

Why Tom’s of Maine is the right choice

Hiking, jogging, exercise and just being a mom is a part of my life. This means that I do a lot of sweating. Tom’s of Maine is the #1 natural deodorant brand with a number of award-winning products among its deodorant portfolio; being the leading natural personal care brand that makes high-quality natural toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, deodorant, bar soap, body wash and baby care products.  The team consists of distinguished dentists, scientists, and herbal experts, who are all leaders in their fields. They are charged with developing a wide range of products and choices so people can decide what best fits with their needs and values.

A few things you will LOVE about Tom’s of Maine

  • Clinically proven, 24-hour odor protection using odor-fighting hops  and only natural fragrances
  • Fully recyclable packaging through local municipalities or the TerraCycle Tom’s of Maine Natural Care Brigade
  • No animal testing and no animal ingredients
  • With every purchase, Tom’s of Maine donates 10% of profits back to helping people and the planet

Important information about natural deodorants

There is an adjustment period when first switching to natural deodorants. Give it at least seven days to help determine the best-fit body’s unique chemistry.  Most are used to using antiperspirants, natural deodorants do not provide the same wetness protection as they do. This is because perspiration is reduced using antiperspirants, and must include a form of aluminum per FDA guidelines.

With Tom’s of  Maine Natural Long-Lasting deodorants, you have the confidence that you are receiving odor control in an aluminum-free formula. Tom’s of Maine portfolio has more than 15 deodorants that are also free from petrochemicals, artificial fragrances, and preservatives.
