Bedroom Update with Serena and Lily’s Wainscott Oxford Duvet

September 8, 2017 in Lifestyle
In a perfect world, I would have an interior designer on call 24/7 and an unlimited budget. However, that’s not the case, and as someone with no design background (and in definite need of some tutoring from Joanna Gaines), I have to find ways update my home to my liking without spending an arm and leg.  I’m always thinking of how I can complete our master bedroom, so I can share with all of you.. but It’s never at that point where I feel it’s “completely” finished.
I knew exactly what was missing from my bedroom update–new bedding. Not just any bedding, I wanted bedding that fit my personality and gave me the “southern” coastal feel that I have been accustomed to living in South Carolina my whole life.

I have been wanting to update my bedroom for the longest, but just haven’t taken time to actually do so. Finding a style that would fit my husband and I would be quite a difficult task. He loves bold colors and I prefer a more minimal look. The easiest place for me start, was to update our bedding; Serena and Lily has the best selection of  duvet covers,  so I picked out this gorgeous one and decided to use it as the canvas to redecorate our room from there.

When it came to choosing the perfect duvet I knew that Serena and Lily was the only place that I needed to look. What I love about Serena and Lily is that it gives my room a laid back and luxe look.

I chose the Wainscott Oxford Weave Duvet Cover in white because of the simplistic style. I knew that no matter which direction I took our bedroom look in, the look of this luxury duvet covers would compliment any style.

Since I like white, I went for it and kept my fingers crossed that my kids would never step foot in my bedroom again. Of course, that didn’t happen, and within three hours of it being on my bed, my two-year-old spilled soy sauce on the cover! However, it was easy to clean and dried quickly that you can’t even tell that anything was ever there!

The duvet cover was amazingly soft when I received it, after the first wash it still retained that soft feel, and even with there being a second wash so quickly, it feels just as amazing and luxe as when I first opened it! So if you have young children and are worried about having all white bedding, I definitely say that Serena and Lily is a great option!
