Finances can be difficult to manage if you are overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin. However, when you combine finances & parenting, that can be even more difficult if you aren’t quite prepared or when life hands you the impossible.
If you grew up without proper education when it comes to managing money being able to prepare for the unexpected, as well as prepping for your child’s future, it can seem like a daunting task. Even if you have learned all of those things, life-changing situations (divorce, medical bills, unemployment) can put us in a serious bind; life tends to throw us a curveball that we are either not prepared for or are unable to recover from.
Life insurance is a must
As a mom of five kids, the one thing that I (and my husband) have always made sure that we had in our corner, was life insurance. While we may plan to always be here in each other’s lives and that of our children, we can’t predict the future.
With that said, the one thing that we can predict is that if we are not around that no matter what our children will be taken care of (and having college paid for is at the top of our list).
Fact: It can be overwhelming and stressful, but that doesn’t mean you need to avoid it.
You can come up with a list of 20 good reasons as to why you need life insurance. No matter what the reasons are, coming up with them can be a bit stressful, but preparation is essential, especially when you’re adding another member to your family or trying to make sure the ones here are cared for.
Why do I need it?
Purchasing life insurance can help your family supplement lost income and meet important financial needs like funeral costs, daily living expenses, college tuition, and even retirement should something happen to you.
Think of it this way: Without coverage for yourself or spouse, or without enough of it — your family may not be able to do all the things you’ve had planned for their future, such as attending college. Likewise, if you own or are paying on your current home, your spouse may not be able to keep the family home.
Nationwide Life Insurance
As parents, we do all that we can to make sure the needs of our family are met.
You do not have to attempt to navigate finding the right life insurance (term life insurance for example) or spend time shopping for life insurance rates. Nationwide is there to work with you one on one to answer your questions, analyze your needs and select an insurance policy that is right for you and your family.
Start preparing to do everything you can now to make sure that the ones you love are still taken care of long after you are gone. It’s a scary thought or conversation for any parent/couple to have, but it’s one that needs to be done.
