Yearning for a date night with your spouse or significant other but can’t get away from the kids? Here are a few tips below to help you get the most out of your time with your spouse.
A day trip.
If you can’t get away from the kids, but want to treat your beloved to something special. Try taking a day trip. I loved doing these types of things because the car ride really allowed us to connect with one another. The activities chosen were always family-friendly but was something either myself or the spouse loved doing as well.
Babysitter for two hours?
This is a big one. Occasionally a family member will want the kids for an hour or two. Take advantage! If you get a last minute call, plan something for your loved one on the fly. You don’t even need to go anywhere. Drop the kids off for a few hours of play while you and your SO spend the afternoon sitting on the couch. Sometimes those are the best moments.
Surprise chef (either yourself or hire one)
Who doesn’t love food? Get together and make a fancy meal for each other or hire a chef to come cook at your home for the evening. This a great way to have an intimate romantic dinner for two when you can’t get a night away.
Second First Date
Recreate your first date. Make a date for someplace special or go to the first place you went to so many years ago.
