Three Important Lessons We Learned Playing Flag Football

August 14, 2017 in Extracurricular Activities, Fitness, Kid's Activities, Motherhood, Wellness
Football season is almost here, and like many little ones this season, my son will be heading out playing football.
Over the years the game itself has received a lot of bad press due to physical injuries and trauma numerous past players have received.
I have no stake in the debate over whether or not young children can play. My son playa flag football and that’s all we’ve ever played.
Like many young boys he dreams of becoming a famous football player one day, and like any good parent I will help him develops his love of the sport.
Youth Sports as a whole, provide numerous benefits to the children who participate. Socialization was a huge benefit for us, especially during that short time I homeschooled.
3 Lessons We Learned Playing Football
Physical: speed, strength, agility and hand eye coordination. Since its a physically demanding game, children build speed and endurance as the go along.
Discipline: listening to coaches, team captain and quarterback are all important. The discipline needed to learn this “game of inches” is key to having success.
Work Ethic: as with any sport your child will learn, what they put in to it is what they get out. Hardwork to learn your craft is a great lesson that children should learn early on.
