Since we have moved into a home with a much bigger kitchen, I have been letting the kids come up with recipes that they would love for us to incorporate into our meal plan more. All in an effort to help get them
excited about cooking (and cleaning). One of their favorite items to cook is French Toast; each child has their own french toast recipe, but today I want to share Aaryn’s because, in true toddler fashion, it’s unique (but it tastes really good).

We have been incredibly busy the last few months. We did some traveling this year and weren’t cooking nearly as much as we should have been, especially when it came to breakfast. We knew that we needed
something quick and easy in order to get everyone out of the house on time. I noticed that when we would have French Toast, Aaryn would request a little something “different” on hers. Aidan suggested having french toast casserole and everyone agreed that was a good meal.
Since Aaryn and Sarah are at the stage where they have become very picky eaters, we used Arnold Organic for Kids White Bread made with Whole Wheat. I love that this bread is not only delicious and has a soft and smooth texture, but it also provides great nutrition for kids. It is bread that is plant-based, USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and provides a good source of vitamin A, vitamin D, and vitamin E. What parent wouldn’t love that?!

I was so proud of him for stepping up and wanting to make Christmas morning breakfast for the family, I was more than happy to let him take the lead while I supervised.

Aaryn’s Stuffed French Toast Sandwiches
Prep time: 15 minutes
8 slices of Arnold Organic for Kids White Bread made with Whole Wheat
4 thin slices of ham
3 eggs
½ cup of 2% milk
1 tablespoon sugar
Nonstick Cooking Spray
4 Tablespoons of butter (optional)
Warmed Pancake Syrup (optional)
First
Place 4 of the slices of bread on a baking sheet. Cover each slice with ham.
Second
Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, in a medium bowl. Pour egg mixture over sandwiches and allow to stand at room temperature for 5 minutes. Turning only one time to absorb the mixture.
Third
Spray a large skillet with cooking spray; heat on medium. Cook sandwiches for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
