Why I Love Playing with Dolls as a Dad with My Daughter

As a girl dad, when it comes to playtime, it can get very creative in our home. However, more often than not, that playtime will include dolls! With so many toys around our home, there are very few that are honestly as versatile. A doll can literally become anything. There are days when it will be a baby, others it’s a truck or even an airplane.

The beauty of a doll is that I am able to watch my girls’ imagination go where it wants to without limits.

Dolls are the perfect toys to teach empathy as well. It can be a great way to roleplay situations, talk about feelings or simply learn how to care for something. More often than not, we find ourselves babysitting dolls, so the girls can go outside and play with friends! They have also been a great way to get the girls to express themselves through playtime.

Lastly, when they find the perfect doll, it becomes a sidekick they can lean on in a variety of ways. From tackling monsters under the bed or just being there so they can cuddle, dolls can do it all!

Being the dad of four girls means I spend a lot of time playing tea parties and playing with dolls. I am always looking for fun dolls that my girls will love to play with.

I love supporting family-owned businesses and brands, and partnering with Moose Toys they create toys to make children Super happy! Of course, as a dad making my girls super happy is always first and foremost. We recently found Kindi Kids and the girls absolutely love everything about them! I surprised Ari with a bunch of new Kindi Kids dolls and toys and she has had nonstop fun!

The new KindiKids collection includes the following and all are available at Walmart!

  • KindiKids Party Pets Marshmallow Kitten moves its eyes when you brush its hair!
  • Kindi Kids Dress Up Magic Face Paint Reveal Baby Sister Doll that lets you reveal its face paint with the swipe of a sponge!
  • KindiKids Dress Up Magic Face Paint Reveal Doll comes with bows and other accessories to make playtime extra special.
  • And the Secret Saddle Unicorn has a hidden surprise under the saddle!
